What is an E2 Visa?
An E2 Visa, also known as the E-2 Treaty Investor Visa, is
visa given
to foreign citizens who invest and manage a substantial amount of money in the USA.
Mexican citizens must go through the E2 visa renewal process E2 visa every year. Citizens of other E2 visa countries can be eligible for a longer duration period.
There is no limit to how many
times one can renew the E2 visa. E2 visa extensions are often an option.
The investment must be "substantial" and it must "contribute" to the economy of the USA, e.g., create jobs for US workers. Generally an investment of $100,000 and the creation of 3 jobs is considered to be "substantial" and to "contribute" to the US economy.
E-2 Investor visas are only issued to citizens of "treaty nations". Call us at 210-535-0151 to learn if your country is a "treaty nation."
