Types of Investor Visas
There are three types of visas that are commonly referred to as
"Investor Visas". Below is a short summary of two basic
requirements for each investor visa.
Visa E-2
- Investment Amount: Minimum recommended investment in
your own business in the USA is $100,000 dollars.
- Job Creation: It is recommended that you are able to
create at least 3 jobs for US workers in your own business. You will have one year to create these jobs.
Visa E-1
- If you are a citizen of Mexico, you may qualify for the E-1 visa if your business:
- Buys American products and sells them in Mexico, or
- Sells Mexican products in the USA.
- Value of Imports / Exports: It is recommended that
your business have imported or exported a minimum of $100,000 dollars worth of merchandise during the last 12 months.
Visa EB-5
- Investment Amount: Minimum investment amount is
$500,000 dollars.
- Job Creation: In order to become a Legal Permanent
Resident, it is required that your investment create 10 new jobs in the USA. You will have 2 years to create these jobs.
