Eligibility for US Citizenship

You may be eligible to obtain US citizenship if:

• You are a foreign national with a Green Card (Permanent Residence in the USA), you have had a Green Card for at least 5 years and at least half of that time you were physically present in the USA with no absences from the USA of more than 6 months.

• You are a foreign national with a Green Card (Permanent Residence in the USA), who is currently married to a US Citizen, and have been married to the same US Citizen for the last 3 years.

• You served in the US Armed Forces for at least 3 years.
