There are 25 professions in this category that qualify for the TN work visa. Of those 25, there are 3 professions where you can qualify based only experience, without an educational requirement. Of these three, Management Consultant and Scientific Technician are the most commonly used categories. On the other hand, there are six professions where you can qualify without a university education so long as you have a vocational diploma or certificate. Landscape Architect

Lawyer/Attorney (including Notary in the Province of Quebec)

There are 12 medical professions that qualify for the TN Visa. Of these 12, there is only one profession (Medical Technologist) where you can qualify for a TN Visa without a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Social Security Number: Note that often in the United States, it is necessary to have a Social Security Number to obtain a State License to practice in a medical field. But you should not let the lack of a State License keep you from obtaining a TN Visa. Often, a TN Visa can be used to let you obtain a Social Security Number in order to obtain a State License.
